The Google Center for Teacher Innovation (GCTI) at Mirari Institute is a fully established, state-of-the-art hub that provides Kenyan teachers with world-class Google for Education training, AI integration skills, and digital teaching mastery.
Located at the Mirari Main Campus, the center currently serves teachers, school leaders, and education stakeholders from across Kenya.

 

Center Overview

The GCTI is a dedicated professional development and innovation space built specifically for teachers. It offers hands-on, immersive training using Google Workspace for Education, Google Classroom, Google Certified Educator pathways, Chromebooks, and Gemini AI tools.

The center operates as a formal Google for Education training and support hub, offering guided learning, certification preparation, classroom simulations, and live technology demonstrations aligned with CBC and TPD requirements.

 

 

Google Digital Teaching Lab

The center houses a fully equipped Google teaching lab featuring:

• Chromebook training stations
• Smart boards & interactive displays
• AI teaching pods for Gemini
• A classroom simulation zone
• A content creation studio for teachers
• High-speed WiFi and cloud-enabled workstations

Teachers train in an environment that mirrors modern digital classrooms.

 

The center currently delivers:

• Google Certified Educator Level 1
• Google Certified Educator Level 2
• Google Certified Trainer (CCT) preparation
• Google Admin & Workspace Deployment courses
• Gemini AI for Educators workshops
• Digital Pedagogy Masterclasses for CBC

All trainings lead to international Google certifications and Mirari digital teaching badges.
