The Black Soldier Fly (BSF) Waste-to-Value Skills Program equips learners with the hands-on capabilities to convert organic waste into high-value products such as protein feed, frass organic fertilizer, and bio-products.
The training blends scientific understanding, practical farm operations, and micro-enterprise development.

Participants learn how to set up and run BSF breeding facilities, manage larvae production, process waste efficiently, and develop sustainable agribusiness ventures.
The course is built for practical impact—ideal for youth, smallholder farmers, women groups, community enterprises, and green economy projects.

This program emphasizes competency over certification, enabling learners to demonstrate actual skill in:

• BSF colony management
• Waste management & recycling
• Larvae feeding systems
• Processing insect protein
• Producing organic fertilizer
• Managing day-to-day farm operations
• Running a BSF micro-enterprise

Graduates finish with the ability to run a functional BSF production unit starting from day one.
